Every time I’ve had an uncomfortable psychedelic experience, apparently I just needed more ominous chanting and maracas.

u/duluthzenithcity Dec 22 '19

Way late but story time. I was tripping on mushrooms and was sitting against a rock at night. I was convinced there were spiders everywhere crawling all over me. I chalked it up to the mushrooms and took some deep breaths and calmed myself down. This went on for hours. Once I started to sober up I realized they I wasn't just tripping, there were spiders everywhere, all over me.

12

u/aleafytree Dec 26 '19

Damn you were one with the spiders.

5

u/Nmsokn Dec 28 '19

bro. Oh no

3

u/dkassl Nov 12 '21

Bro this is not mushrooms. This is the toad, and the toad fucks

4

u/spanktravision Dec 31 '19

Nope. Nope nope nope nope

1

u/NervousAndPantless Oct 18 '22

That is the worst but also pretty hilarious.

14

u/StinkyGoose Dec 19 '19

I laughed way too hard at this comment...

5

u/lightofauriel Dec 20 '19

Hahahaha that hit the spot

-13

u/questionablefidelity Dec 17 '19

A psychedelic experience is really not the same as hallucinogenic one

2

u/sacchen Mar 14 '20

I think I know what you mean, like you can have hallucinations sans psychs but not psychs sans hallucinations? Maybe? Like mutual exclusivity? But that doesn't really make sense here.

Care to expand?

1

u/questionablefidelity Mar 14 '20

I meant there's a large difference in taking psycadelics and hallucinagens

u/[deleted] Dec 16 '19

dude at the end just proceeds to waterboard her

Holy shit that made me so angry... what a fucking asshole....

btw, you might wanna put a giant NSFL warning on that video, definitely not for everyone.

7

u/steak21 Dec 16 '19

Good call, thanks!

5

u/RandomCandor Dec 16 '19

Thank you!

11

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '19

Doing DMT Is already the scariest thing in the world you feel like you’re dying and he’s trying to actually kill people while doing it. Sounds like a mad scientist.

5

u/Parzi_Val Dec 17 '19

I’m scarred. Dude is not right.

7

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '19

Wow horrible! He sounds like all he does is help you have a bad trip and possibly die. These spiritual practices aren’t usually dangerous and they’re supposed to be enlightening; People shouldn’t be dying. He’s Mr. Bad Trip.

11

u/CenoteGod Dec 16 '19

She need hydrate

16

u/gulaschgel Dec 16 '19

I read a couple of times that ayahuasceros pour water over you to calm you down in case of a freakout. I mean many people also swear on a shower during a badtrip so there might be something behind it

11

u/steak21 Dec 17 '19 edited Dec 17 '19

Listen man I've tripped on acid and mushrooms in a shower but I was conscious and present. These guys pouring lukewarm water (at best) on them and down their throats when they don't expect it (they can't expect anything in that state, every moment is infinite nothingness). This is honestly on a level of terrifying that I can't comprehend. My experiences with regular DMT have humbled me enough to say I will never try 5-meo to understand either

3

u/gulaschgel Dec 20 '19

Yeah also hard pass for me on this and Salvia. Risk/Reward ratio is just not good enough

5

u/otty93 Dec 17 '19

I've tripped quite a few time on DMT and I've found a wet wash cloth is very comforting and sorta 'brings me back' if things are too intense. I wonder what it is about water.

9

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '19

that’s why they give you those towels at fancy restaurants

4

u/otty93 Dec 17 '19

I've only seen wet towels at Thai restaurants and can confirm, they're there to bring you back from the endless blissful abyss that is Thai food.

9

u/Funkiebunch Dec 17 '19

Just don't look in the mirror!

18

u/AdotFlicker Dec 17 '19

Ya know, everyone always said that. So the 1st time I tripped, I looked in the mirror and had quite honestly one of the funniest moments I’ve ever experienced in my life. That was 20+ years ago and I still laugh about it.

14

u/dystopiate666 Dec 17 '19

Mirrors are awesome on psychedelics

7

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '19

one time when i was young and stupid i bought “””lsd””” took two tabs and then got an awful bitter metallic taste in my mouth, ah fug NBOME time, rush home from my walk as i am coming up too hard. way to hard. walk down the spinning tunnel of my dorm hallway, get to my dorm look in the mirror, i am bleeding purple blood from my face. that was a very rough day that humbled me completely. absolute respect for psyches now. never take untested tabs!

4

u/dystopiate666 Dec 17 '19

Pass that shit!

1

u/Sedated_owl Dec 24 '19

*don't look in the mirror if you're ugly

1

u/xenophon2018 Dec 17 '19

Amen to that!

1

u/Flululu Jun 05 '20

Lol, reading this 5 months later but I laughed out loud thinking of my last trip when I looked in the mirror.

I took a collections phone call once when I was peaking like 10+ years ago. That fucked me up badddd

1

u/PeachTreeAmbience Dec 17 '19

This wasnt the guy from the vice videos? How many are doing fucking toad ceremonies

2

u/RandomCandor Dec 16 '19

Probably not at that exact moment. Probably not a lot of hydration is achieved by pouring water over semi-unconscious people.

0

u/justme47826 Dec 16 '19

are you sure?

1

u/t3kner Feb 11 '22

yeah he was just trying to hydrate their lungs. You can't get the full experience if your lungs aren't completely filled with water. And according to him its ok because before you're born you are surrounded by fluid.

33

u/freezingpenguin Dec 17 '19

This lady actually made a Reddit post on her experience. For anyone who's interested in reading:

15

u/setepampras Dec 17 '19 edited Dec 18 '19

Jeez.. her experience seems like it's put her in a permanent state of psychosis. Sure hope it was worth it for her.

8

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '19

Honestly that’s how we all are once you “awaken” or in laymen’s terms, trio so ducking hard you see the truth that you’re not to sure you wanted to see.

I’m sure she’s fine, but she knows there’s more to this universe and doesn’t know what it is. This drives me crazy sometimes.

11

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '19

insane story wtf

3

u/tree_or_up Dec 22 '19

That really reminds me of my one and only salvia breakthrough experience. It caused complete amnesia at the peak - I had no idea who I was or if I even existed and I certainly didn’t remember I’d done a drug. I was just locked into this place outside of time and space and couldn’t begin to know how to get back or even what that meant. As I gradually came down flashes of reality started to break through but I had no idea what was happening. I screamed and panicked and thought “oh this is what it’s like be permanently insane. This is my life.” My sitter kept saying over and over again “you did Salvia” and I finally remembered what was happening. I dealt with PTSD from that experience for years.

18

u/GeorgeJ07 Dec 16 '19

Ego death in it's finest

11

u/SativaLungz Dec 17 '19

It's closer to a soul cleansing than a freakout

11

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '19

I could be wrong, but it seems like some of these "shamans" have no traditional training; they just take the drugs and do it on they fly...i guess that isn't a problem exactly, but i'm sure it'd helped and be more authentic if they were properly trained by the people of the cultures that use various entheogen. DMT and the plants containing it are not an easy trip from what i've heard and this guy could very well be trained but just a nut case.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '19

I've had a couple of friends who decided they were going to be organizing their own ayahuasca rituals after their first trip.. Was really really obnoxious to see those egos inflate. Luckily their 'mastership' didn't last too long because, seeing as they didn't have a clue what they were doing they got their asses handed to them

7

u/JBoww Mar 26 '20

Hey this is a video of me. Jboww. Choppy and not indicative of the experience. Shitty editing job and not a responsible way to educate people on 5-MeO. DM me with real talk. This is bullshit.

3

u/lukhow Apr 25 '20

i read your story. Infinite love for you and your continuing journey. <3

11

u/e_subvaria Dec 17 '19

Worst Culligan commercial ever

6

u/bodhigoatgirl Dec 17 '19

5meo is no joke man. Who are those clowns

6

u/Sex4days Dec 17 '19

Not good shamanism behaviour

13

u/[deleted] Dec 16 '19 edited Dec 16 '19

“It was soooo transformative.”

13

u/PeachTreeAmbience Dec 17 '19

I mean if you read her trip report then yeah, it kinda was.

5

u/DeepGiro Dec 18 '19

Tuneless maracas, being led into a river plus a cunt pouring water on your face = a bad trip every time.

1

u/medicrow Dec 24 '19

Ah man, so much of this girls care takers behaviour was wrong.

Who are these clowns.

3

u/Raumcole Dec 18 '19

Don't get too many Dmt freakouts on here. If I recall this is ayahuasca. I believe there is an interview somewhere about her experience during this.

6

u/Durtskwurt Dec 19 '19

5meodmt is not regular dmt. 5meodmt is said to have a very death-like experience and you meet your maker. It can by synthesized or is taken from the Colorado River toad poison.

2

u/UsernamesAreHard97 Dec 17 '19

Bro iv had bad lsd trips. Can only imagine how fucking terryfiying that shit is.

2

u/ConsciousUnity Mar 25 '20

Can anyone please tell me who is the person in the video and how to contact her. I experienced this exact same thing on Bufo, i would really love to talk to someone who has experienced it too

2

u/DARKSOUL18111982 May 19 '20

Here you go bro.

u/Jboww

She has a great post on the experience.

I'll have what she's having

3

u/dystopiate666 Dec 17 '19

Took just the right amount

7

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '19

That looks like a nightmare with zero redeeming qualities.

3

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '19

Take it as you will. Is it a gift to know the truth, or a curse?

3

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '19

a burden

2

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '19

I like that.

3

u/Baddyshack Dec 16 '19

"But yeah man, you gotta just try it yourself."

12

u/jambajou Dec 16 '19

The thing is you'll feel empovered to survive such a pointless mind rape. Also, it can help with creativity, whacks you out of your gourd, so your perpective becomes a bit different. Thats what I think

8

u/gulaschgel Dec 17 '19 edited Dec 17 '19

In this case, as a poster above mentioned, the shaman also seems to be unprofessional. I can speak from experience that that is the worst thing ever, putting your sanity and life into someone’s hands who doesn’t know what they’re doing and/or are assholes. For me another reason these things should be regulated, that way you wouldn’t end up with idiots who screw you over.

8

u/jambajou Dec 17 '19

I think all drugs should be legal. You should absolutely be able to fuck yourself up permanently if you want to. Also, addicts are sick, not criminals.

-2

u/WorstNameEver242 Dec 17 '19

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. Nevermind the parent who shoots heroin while their kids are strapped in the back seat. Hey, it’s their right, right? /s

3

u/HipStairs Dec 17 '19

u really don’t think hard enough

1

u/WorstNameEver242 Dec 17 '19

Ok, then help me think “harder”. Explain how legalizing drugs off the basis that we should be able to do whatever we want would be good for society.

2

u/HipStairs Dec 17 '19

it stops black market drugs and educates people on what drugs actually are. You can try and take the shady shit out. Records of who is and who is not on drugs - and etc etc... There's more context to think of

1

u/WorstNameEver242 Dec 17 '19

How does it stop black market drugs? We’ve already seen that legalizing marijuana hasn’t stopped the illegal import of weed because of the immense difference in cost. It hasn’t stopped the purchase of synthetic weed. Heroin, even when clean, is lethal. Why would it be a good idea to make this a legal drug when we can’t even control the spiral that is the “legal” opiod crisis?

1

u/shitshot21 Dec 27 '19

saw this long time ago claiming its from salvia.

I’ve been to a shaman once who turned out to be a psycho. The thing is, the other people at the retreat really didn’t want to see that this guy was a lunatic, even when it was just blatant. Really made sense to me how people can stay this long in such positions. Just need some people who think you’re higher ranked spiritually and you can get away with a lot. It’s really sad that so many people are desperate for help and get further exploited and damaged by these so called „enlightened humans“.

1

u/sacchen Mar 14 '20

Confronting your demons is scary as hell.

Psychedelics really just bring that closer to the surface.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 25 '20

I experienced this EXACT same kinda freakout on Bufo. I couldn't walk for two days cuz my legs were so stiff. The experience helped me profoundly, it ended in love but holy shit it was intense, I got some of it on video too.

1

u/bladee__enthusiast Nov 06 '21

u see me rollin on some pills baby hydrate

1

u/thatsaccolidea Nov 07 '22

wtf why did he waterboard her?

1

u/Upset-Manufacturer60 Dec 09 '22

The guy with the maracas shaking them slower and quieter as the situation escalates is fucking hilarious to me
