Beautiful dress on a beautiful person! Would like to see it with a black or silver shoe, though.

I did originally plan to wear black but this was my only pair of block heels and I was trudging through grass for a while. I actually had a pair of black kitten heels with me but I sank more with those so I decided to swap.

Beautiful dress! I got that exact same fabric saved in my favorites to order.

I made this dress for a wedding I attended about a month ago and the bulk of the work took me a week.
For the bustier I used this pattern and it took some trial and error but I eventually got it to fit how I wanted by extending the back panels a little bit. There's one underlayer laying flat made out of corset mesh and the gathered layer was made from a long rectangle that I pinned and sewed in place over top. For the lace-up back I finished the edge with bias tape, used a 1/4 inch grommet kit I got off amazon and some satin ribbon.
The straps are the same tulle I used for the underlayers of the skirt that I sewed into a tube with a triangle at the end, trimmed and turned inside out. They ended up being about 33 inches untied. I would have placed the straps a little further out in the front but the cups tended to flair outward so I placed them to keep the cups still.
The skirt is a circle skirt with one layer of star fabric, 3 layers of plain black tulle, and a lightweight opaque fabric.
This is the first time I've made a whole dress and it was definitely a learning experience but I can't wait to try my hand at another.
Here is the star fabric I used
Edit: I did end up sewing the corset mesh part of the bodice wrong sides together and putting the boning on the right side of the fabric so the seam was against my skin and the excess fabric or boning channels didn't rub against my skin
