I know this has been reported as a repost, but the original thread is like two years old at this point and I would consider that well outside of the reposting window. Some of your accounts are much younger than that.

This thread will not be locked, as is tradition. No rule breaking or I'm telling mom.

No one is more obsessed with gay people than homophobic people. It's kind of funny.

Is homophobia associated with homosexual arousal? - PubMed https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/8772014/

u/Lovemybee Jan 02 '23

From the article:

"The psychologist Henry Adams has used a device called a plethysmograph that measures penile arousal to show that the more aversion a man says he feels toward gay men—and even more disturbingly, the more willing he is to inflict pain upon them—the more intense is his erection to gay porn."

I read this article when it first came out, and I think about it often.

u/Howllikeawolf Jan 02 '23

Thanks, I will add it to my repertoire of arguments against homophobes. Haha.

u/Darcress Jan 02 '23

This whole thread is hilarious.

Why do so many have issues with what two (or more) adults do in private. Seriously, how are they harming anyone.

I don't get it. Then there are Christians who accept their family members who are open about their sexuality. My Grandpa was such a man. He was even a pastor at one point. I think many missed the "judge not, least you be judged."

2

u/Howllikeawolf Jan 02 '23

Exactly! There are good real Christians who are allys, don't judge what doesn't affect them personally and love their neighbor. The other Christians are hypocrites because they act completely opposite to what the bible really represents and who Jesus was. Jesus was full of love and acceptance and was angry at hate, greed and exploitation.

This is amazing, I wish they continued this study and did it with a larger sample size than 36 people. Thanks for sharing!

Wait, they have a medical site for when you're at the pub?

2

u/Theonetheycall1845 Jan 02 '23

I think it's obvious they are projecting their desires and internal struggles. Like that preacher who did meth and banged young hot dudes. I imagine multiple readers each having a different preacher they're thinking of when reading that last sentence.

2

u/Rotary_Wing Jan 08 '23

Like that preacher who did meth and banged young hot dudes.

Nah, they were just carrying his luggage...while he "educated" them about the evils of sodomy.

1

u/Due-Science-9528 Jan 02 '23

Assuming homophobes are closeted dismisses them as false threats and really is victim blaming…

1

u/Howllikeawolf Jan 02 '23

They are not false threats and changing the narrative to victim blaming as an argument is gaslighting.

1

u/BreadEmperoar Jan 02 '23

DOES THIS MEAN I HAVE A CHANCE

2

u/hotasanicecube Jan 02 '23

No-one is amused more than me when a Westboro Baptist follower is pointed out by insults. They caused enough costs around here.

u/NoUsername817226 Jan 01 '23

Lmao her face

263

u/mememan12332 Jan 01 '23

Leviticus also said the same thing about having sex with your sister and yet Alabama exists.

68

u/maxens_wlfr Jan 01 '23

Apparently Leviticus 18:22 is also about incest : https://blog.smu.edu/ot8317/2016/05/11/leviticus-1822/

34

u/Pesthuf Jan 01 '23

Impressive how much effort one can make to interpret this straightforward sentence as anything but what it's clearly intended to mean.

6

u/AgentTin Jan 02 '23

I've never understood how anyone can cite leviticus with a straight face to begin with. If you have to reach into the bowels of the old testament to prove your point and you aren't living like a hasidic jew you're a hypocrite.

2

u/Fyrnen24 Jan 02 '23

Wasn't the point of the article that the original hebrew version wasn't actually that straight forward?

Christians claim homosexuality is a sin yet they want God inside of them

curious?

20

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '23

Come deep inside me, Jesus

7

u/[deleted] Jan 02 '23

Take me into your loving arms and hold me Jesus!

Basically take any fuck song and add Jesus here and there and you've got an average hymn.

5

u/WonderfulDog3966 Jan 02 '23

Well, they do love the guy.

31

u/RunF4Cover Jan 01 '23

It’s funny because it’s true.

31

u/apemaster13 Jan 02 '23

Ahhhh good ol Leviticus 18:22. Im Christian, read the Bible, and actually did my research unlike numb nuts on the right. First off Leviticus is not even really followed anymore and also that verse “a man shall not lay with another man like he would a woman” is most likely not in reference to homosexuality. First off the verse didn’t start saying that till the new King James Version which clearly had an agenda (lmao that version is wack). Second the verse in its original text was more likely about a man having “relations” with little boys (and or incest). Most likely Moses was just trying to say that doing that to little boys or incest is a sin. Of course i only speak and read English so i can’t say this for sure but from what I understand with people who have read it state the second “man” in the verse is softer then the first implying it means boy. Regardless this shouldn’t really matter because we SHOULD love our fellow man regardless of any of that but here we are. Im sorry for what my religion has done, and is doing to everyone who is just trying to live their lives.

10

u/Howllikeawolf Jan 02 '23

Has the term “Homosexual” always been in the Bible? NO https://www.forgeonline.org/blog/2019/3/8/what-about-romans-124-27

4

u/jokerZwild Jan 02 '23

The closest to come to it is 'man lays down with another man' or something real close to that.

6

u/Howllikeawolf Jan 02 '23

There have many words that were changed in the bible. Some of the translations from the original Hebrew text to Greek and then English are inaccurate. For instance, the word pedophile was changed to homosexual. Do fake Christians who changed the words believed that pedophiles should be protected and homosexuals punished? Being a christian means loving thy neighbor and so any "christian" who passes judgement when it doesnt effect them personally and exhibits hate is fake and a hypocrite.

5

u/TheOneWhoSucks Jan 02 '23

So modern priests are actually committing the sin

42

u/icodeusingmybutt Jan 01 '23

I am Home sexual, the only thing i fond attractive is my home.

That sounds like a very roundabout way to say you're from alabama

I live alone

1

u/LeTastyGarbage Jan 02 '23

That’s a weird way to say that everyone you live with is genetically identical to you.

A 2-week-old account with barely any karma. Woken up a few days ago and posts a few comments and then goes immediately to resubmitting ancient and highly upvoted content. Soon too be posting gear launch merchandise scams.

22

u/Dare89d87 Jan 01 '23

Bruh you’re coming in here with a 3 day old account, get the fuck out of here

Edit: and it also appears to be your go to line when you have nothing of value to add as you’ve used the same copy pasted response in another post.

-21

u/Sazcarh Jan 01 '23

So? I made my account so I can warn others. I haven't posted a single karma-farming post and I'll never will.

Never misses a gay event for the right reasons

1

u/inappropriate127 Jan 02 '23

Why would you promote hate? Sinful or not the Bible makes it abundantly clear our job is to love our fellow man and leave the judgment to God. Have you never told a lie? Thrown out an OMG? Those are 10 commandments and we Christians as a whole seem to think one little verse from leviticus is enough to harass people over? Keep in mind this is the same book in the Bible that says your wife is unclean while she is on her period and makes everything she touches unclean as well for 7 days. "Don't you dare taint the couch woman! Sleep on the dog bed where you belong!" /s... I gotta say out of all the books in the Bible Leviticus has to be taken with a grain of salt.

-1

u/Vivid_Cress6062 Jan 02 '23 edited Jan 02 '23

Simply telling the truth is not promoting hate. Lying and stealing are not good either and everyone has been guilty of either, but that doesn’t negate the fact that God doesn’t support gay marriage.

-7

u/Official_Kevin_Rice Jan 02 '23

Calling a Christian March a "gay event" 🤣 whatever floats your pedophile boat

2

u/transgendergengar Jan 02 '23

Pedophiles are not a part of the GSRM¹ community. Mostly because children is not a gender. As such, pedophilia is not a sexuality.

¹GSRM stands for gender sexual and romantic minorities.
