Damn that security guard is on top of it

95

u/CheshireC4t Aug 13 '22

Bro sits there all day every day with his finger on the proverbial trigger waiting for something like this to happen. The anticipation must be agony. He's waited for this for a long time.

16

u/leveraction1970 Aug 14 '22

I would be so shitty at that job. I guarantee that if that was me the players would have already caught her and started dragging her off the court before I'd remember I was the one that was supposed to be handling things like that.

17

u/11schlge Aug 13 '22

This was during the playoffs and protestors had already shown up to a bunch of Timberwolves home games. Someone glued themselves to the floor at least once.

8

u/SuchSalad4 Aug 14 '22

Has anyone who has glued themselves in protest ever been able to advance their message? Usually they end up just harming themselves in the end.

6

u/11schlge Aug 14 '22

I mean, we are talking about it now. So maybe that’s the tiniest degree of success? But I still eat meat so idk

1

u/SuchSalad4 Aug 14 '22

We talk about how good the cop was at tackling her lol.

0

u/RobABankWithABagel Aug 14 '22

But now you associate her movement with her moment of stupidity, therefore every time it's mentioned you'll view it in a better light because you associate it with a funny thing you laughed at.

Or you just think it's as stupid as her, probably that.

1

u/InFin0819 Aug 14 '22

I mean I learned about the issues with the owner from them. It definitely highlights stuff

10

u/01029838291 Aug 14 '22

There's another angle of this where he's staring at her right as she's getting ready to go. He knew what she was about before she started going.

2

u/MysteriousSorbet6660 Aug 14 '22

Pics??

u/01029838291 Aug 14 '22

Can't find a better quality video for some reason. You can see him sitting like 3 seats away and just before she gets up he locks on to her lol.

2

u/MasterEquipment0 Aug 14 '22

The way they just dragged her off the court! 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/Ellereind Aug 14 '22

I was thinking “she must have come from WAY back and he watched and was ready”. Now see she did it right next to him and her friend was ready for it (and why the people pointed to her).

111

u/hosedatbirth911 Aug 13 '22

Dam she didn't even get her other foot down. Give that man a raise.

50

u/CommanderKettch Aug 13 '22

Protest denied!

26

u/Difficult-Hedgehog-7 Aug 13 '22

Ran? She didn’t even make it out to the court on her own momentum

26

u/bmac747474 Aug 13 '22

Animal rights protester runs to sideline, gets earholed by security

46

u/CaptainRatBones Aug 13 '22

I have heard about all the animals being abused in the NBA its shocking tbh.

Yeah you'd prefer they go protest at the farms where it doesn't bother you

14

u/thunderdrae Aug 13 '22

Yeah, that's exactly what people would prefer, and would also make significantly more sense since they're protesting in a place that's actually relevant to their cause.

0

u/TheRedGerund Aug 13 '22

I'm not convinced that's all that more effective at bringing attention to the issue. Perhaps if you're protesting a particular place. But if you're protesting a broader social issue then protesting in a prominent location seems valid.

In a perfect world, yes, there'd be a popular social gathering spot with media presence in the same location as the blood pools of a hog farm but sadly those two often don't overlap. And the people that say location relevance is a priority also happen to be the people who would sooner just not have to see the protest at all.

0

u/Pleb0042 Aug 14 '22

That's why government buildings exist.

2

u/Comprehensive_Ant464 Aug 13 '22

Exactly what I'd want 😎

1

u/MouldyCumSoakedSocks 28d ago

They should absolutely do that. Locate the most inhumane farms, Molotov the bedroom of the owner, free the animals, and burn it to the ground. Do it until they wake up

u/Finn_Flame Aug 13 '22

u/pagit Aug 13 '22

" I paid for this seat" person who filmed was also involved

20

u/ItzBobbyBoucher Aug 13 '22 edited Aug 14 '22

With this angle you see the guard immediately pounce right when she gets up, either she has good instinct, she guessed she was gonna do that, or she might’ve heard she was gonna do that

21

u/elrodrigo99 Aug 13 '22

The guard is a woman, and she was sitting three seats over (two seats in between them were empty). Afterwards she said she had noticed the two of them acting suspicious, so she was ready for this.

1

u/JonLongsonLongJonson Aug 13 '22

I’m guessing by where he’s sitting that he’s watching all the time for someone trying to enter the court, and he was sitting right next to her. When you’re only 1 row back from the court and you’re clambering over the front row, it’s pretty obvious where you’re going to go.

11

u/pyrasilverado Aug 13 '22

Is security going after the person filming? Op??

12

u/togocann49 Aug 13 '22

Yep. And their answer was I paid for this seat, instead of something like I’m not with them, or I had nothing to do with it

2

u/drk_knight_67 Aug 14 '22

They used her ass like the floor mop.

-50

u/Apex_Reditor Aug 13 '22

The person filming should sue. They were just sitting there and got mobbed by security and drug from the seat.

9

u/Cuckyourfouchdarknes Aug 13 '22

Yes because she had no part in this and was just luckily filming at the perfect time. Y’all are stupid.

8

u/yag-eruoy Aug 13 '22

They were together. This happened awhile ago

-10

u/Mootaya Aug 13 '22

It seems obvious that she was getting ready to film her friend, but it’s still super shitty that you’d get kicked out because of something your friend did. Also the way the security reacted was kind of insane. They could have just approached her calmly and asked her to leave instead of manhandling her when she technically didn’t do anything wrong.

5

u/sprocketous Aug 13 '22

Yeah, im wondering why they knew to go after her. Maybe something happened before.

14

u/omgONELnR1 Aug 13 '22

Animal rights protester runs on the court pathetically tries and fails to run on the court.

7

u/2021WASSOLASTYEAR Aug 14 '22

not enough protein in her diet, plus all the best food had parents

3

u/Curvol Aug 14 '22

I mean... You can be an animal rights activist and still eat meat ya know?

26

u/No-Quarter-3032 Aug 13 '22

Lol at the ladies that don’t want to be filmed while sitting courtside

38

u/JonLongsonLongJonson Aug 13 '22

I think they’re actually mad at the filmer for being involved in them being climbed over for a stupid reason

13

u/elrodrigo99 Aug 13 '22

That's some serious rich white lady energy there

1

u/2021WASSOLASTYEAR Aug 14 '22

or some, "your idiot friend just jumped over me, the last thing i am going to do is help you get something out of it" energy.. Id have gone as far as to hold up a jacket completely blocking the shot.

If someones wants to involve me in their protest they dont get to decide how I respond or when I stop.

2

u/Pasta_le_PDF Aug 13 '22

The Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor tortured millions of chickens to death after a mass virus outbreak. The protesters did this on/off for a fortnight during the NBA playoffs.

First protest "glue girl"

Second protest "chain girl"

What's funny is that Glen is in the process to selling the Timberwolves during it and no longer owned the franchise.

"Taylor’s farm orchestrated a mass killing of 5.3 million chickens due to an avian flu outbreak. The method used to put down the chickens is a ventilation shutdown called VSD+, a system in which barn ventilation is turned off and suffocates the animals."

The howl thing worked because it got associated with him and caught a ton of attention, the plans were most likely were meant to fail.

2

u/SnuffXP Aug 13 '22

Happened multiple times that series. Which is why the security guard was so ready. What a wild series.

Most people against factory farming would change their tune pretty fast when food prices start effecting them. I buy some higher quality stuff from a local place but I dont expect everyone to be willing or able to pay 2x the normal cost. Sure the owner makes money off of it but most people against it come from a place of such privilege that they cant fathom that for some people it is not a choice.

All three women in front wearing invisible neck braces

-23

u/Themagicmandave2 Aug 13 '22

Why are the old hags trying to block the camera?

14

u/Denotsyek Aug 13 '22

Why do dumbasses make fun of people for getting old? Unless you die. You're going to be old too.

27

u/Mersch1 Aug 13 '22

To not give any further attention to people that are causing a scene. It’s done all the time on professional sports, the camera quickly pans away from whatever the distraction is, same idea here.

11

u/ProfessionalReveal Aug 13 '22

This was from last season. The person filming was an accomplice gathering content. The women were smart to try to block her view to rob her of that.

-10

u/BreedinBacksnatch Aug 13 '22

the old hags are Wolves former-now-partial owner Glen Taylor's harem

0

u/2021WASSOLASTYEAR Aug 14 '22

how about you keep your shit to moms basement instead?

1

u/omgONELnR1 Aug 13 '22

Because they don't want to be recorded.

1

u/sFAMINE Aug 13 '22

That cameraman got some looks from the old ladies in front lmao

1

u/abalrogsbutthole Aug 14 '22

you paid for a seat that cost hundreds of dollars to watch your friend get tackled and not even let it be known what you were protesting… fucking simp

1

u/JariJorma Aug 14 '22

Nice ass tho

-31

u/Grumpytyrant Aug 13 '22

Why are they trying to block the camera? Everyone records at football games...

15

u/INeedlessI Aug 13 '22

Because she's an accomplice to the moron that is face down on the court.

-16

u/Grumpytyrant Aug 13 '22

I guess I have to put /s everywhere lol, not even gonna tell me it's a basketball game...

1

u/omgONELnR1 Aug 13 '22

But not everyone wants to be recorded.

1

u/sonscottson Aug 13 '22

Is that Vince McMahon in the checkered shirt on the right ? 😂

1

u/Dunacan-Brookwell Aug 14 '22

If only our city streets had this level of security!

1

u/[deleted] Aug 14 '22

I heard that the British would call you and the protester a cunt.

1

u/2021WASSOLASTYEAR Aug 14 '22

or 'mate' at least the australians i know called me and their friends cunt and mate for strangers/assholes...kinda like our 'buddy'.

1

u/nocturnal_93 Aug 14 '22

karens in the front

1

u/Public_Leek_7406 Aug 14 '22

I wonder in what ways they feel this is contributing or helping their cause in any way, same with the videos of those people dumping all that milk out.

1

u/Tha_Dude777 Aug 15 '22

Doing this at a basketball game really shows the intelligence level she is on.

1

u/downtune79 Aug 25 '22

But she paid for the seats

1

u/Cason26 25d ago

Gotta love how they go for the camera

-3

u/DatMikkle Aug 13 '22

Wonder how much those ladies are paid seeing as they wanna be step-in security

0

u/2021WASSOLASTYEAR Aug 14 '22

normal reaction to being filmed after the persons friend just jumped over you, if anything try that with a bunch of young guys and you might not make it on to the floor. No one wants to be a prop in someones vanity project.
